Manitowoc Beverage Systems wins NRA 2010 Kitchen Innovation Award for new TRUFill beverage dispenser

New product innovation is a key factor in keeping the foodservice industry running at peak performance. Equipment manufacturers push toward products that consume less energy and water, can cook foods quicker, store foods more safely, and help operators meet customer expectations during peak times. Each year, the National Restaurant Association (NRA) recognizes trend-setting kitchen equipment from around the world with their prestigious Kitchen Innovation award. This year, the new TRUfill™ high-volume beverage dispenser from Manitowoc Beverage Systems will be receiving a Kitchen Innovation Award.
TRUfill™ is a revolutionary new dispense filling system that allows faster pours by dispensing through a non-return valve in the bottom of a drinking vessel.
The unique system dispenses beverages, most notably draft beer, in 84% less server time. It delivers the “perfect pour” via a nozzle that engages filling the drink from the bottom up.
The TRUfill™ system has a multi-point dispense application, making it particularly suited to large stadium dispensing where it is critical to dispense high volumes of beverages during peak periods. The multiple tap system allows one person to manage four dispense points continuously – dispensing at 5-10 seconds per pour. Its patented technology is adaptable to a wide range of disposable and re-useable dedicated beverage containers.
“The challenge at large events and in stadiums has always been to pour faster to sell more. This has been expensive in terms of labour and refrigeration. This self-filling process enables a single operator to deliver 10 drinks in 10 seconds. We estimate an overall labor savings between 75 and 80%,” commented Simon Miller, marketing brand director for Manitowoc Beverage Systems in the United Kingdom.
All winners will be showcased with live interactive demonstrations in the Kitchen Innovations Pavilion during the National Restaurant Show in May 2010.
